My Oranda died and now the faintail has a couple splits in its fin. I don't know what caused this my water test fine i done tons of wc and add a real little salt once a wk. Its not getting nipped at all its just split

Do you perhaps have a common pleco in the tank? OR any pleco? Have the goldfish been chasing each other?
I ask this because I have had common plecos before and if they do not get enough food they will suck the slime coat right of the fish. They will also rip their fins up. I have also had other goldfish chase and grab at each other causing the fins to split at times.

maybe thats it. I have a pleco that was added like 4months ago. I heard of that happening but he is def well fed.

Now you do have just the common pleco right?
I would recommend calling your lfs and asking them if they take trade ins. If they do then trade the common pleco in for a rubber lip or bushy nose. They both stay quite a bit smaller the the commons so you can feed them less and feed them plenty and you shouldn't have an issue. The rubber lip will stay smaller than the bushy nose and are I think cuter.
