Not all goldfish do well in the cold temp waters that you say they do.

Tell that to the thousands of orandas, fantails and blackmoores I have bred and raised in outdoor grow out ponds in Upstate New York. I could grow eggs to 1.5 oranda out doors on a 60 gallon pond. Eggs layed in March and distributed to pet stores in early May and mid May. The ones I tried to rear indoors were ready to sell in August.

Perhaps my orandas didn't read your book.
