Goldfish?!

My goldfish will eat anything, including trying to nibble on me!!

Like others have said, try feeding them junk food about the same time every day, when they start meeting you at the feeding point, bait your hook with what you've been feeding, and VIOLA!!

I know bluegill like mac'n'cheese, so you could always try that!! (even though they're not bluegill!!)

This is what I do when I help my friend remove his Koi from his pond when they need to be checked. I coat my finger in a scented bait, dip my finger in the water, and when they bite I pull them out by the finger. They have no teeth, so it won't really hurt.

That's what the guy who got his finger bitten off by a goldfish said...

I've caught a lot of large Goldfish on night crawlers, use a ultra light rod, and just a hook. No sinkers or bobber, cast past them and wind in untill you can let it fall right in front of them. They will spook if you cast to them.
If close try bee moths (wax worms), chumming with salmon eggs does work too.

Did you get them yet?
good luck, iv got a pond behind my house, with the same problem. im feeding them nightly in a shallow corner where the wind keeps the food, they are starting to continue eating while i approach, pretty soon they wont get spooked at all, so i can cast net them.

did ya get em?!!??

PICS!

I use to feed my big goldfish nightcrawlers, and other feeder goldfish all the time. That's what he ate exclusively. I thought it was kinda ironic that he would eat the feeders I put in there for companions, but had to try it a second time to show my friends who didn't believe. Too bad him and my catfish didn't make good friends. Guess it's kind of a fish eat fish kinda world.
