Sounds like you're trying to get away with something you can't handle. Folks constantly house fish in tanks too small for them--doesn't mean it's right.

a 500g can fit them.
but its still cramped
for both gatf and armatus,i would say at least 750g.
many people keep them in smaller tanks because they are being grown out.
