and FYI the male and female get around the same size 10"-12", but male are long and slender while female are fat and stubby. \

Wrong....I have one and my buddy has a few...Males are a little bit smaller, about 10% smaller than females, and they grow very large very quick. Males live 3-5 years. They grow quick, and once they do thier final molt, they got 4 months to a year to live, in which thier whoile goal in life is to breed. Females can live up to 25 years...take a bit longer to get to full mature size.
