Not that I ever want to see these 2 fish rip each other apart, but who do you think would be the victor in a battle between a true goliath tigerfish and a hoplias aimara?

In a neutral aquarium, same weight, I'd have to go with the aimara. Both fish are fast and strong, with huge teeth, but I reckon an aimara has a much better chin and threshold for pain than a goliath.
Maybe in a tank and if both were the same size the aimara would stand a chance. But full grown....at 120 lbs.....the Goliath Tigerfish would make a meal of one.
A full grown aimara isnt a small fish either and correct me if Im wrong, but I though the world record GATF was like 80something pounds.
If GATF have similiar demeanors as VATF Im saying aimara. IME VATFs dont really seem to mess with anything they cant eat while the vids Ive seem of aimara indicate that the species try to kill for the fun of it!!
