1 can NEVER be 100% sure. :( However, ive had mala's for some time now and that looks just like the 1's i have. who knows, maybe ive got a few goliaths in my bunch! :naughty: :grinyes:

Its not a Mala and one can be 100% sure. The taxonomy info is available on the Mala and the Mac to compare the differences.

May I also add the Sao Francisco Mac is endemic species. Such as the rare Alexandri Catfish is endemic to the Sao Francisco as well. There is no other distributions areas of this Mac anywhere outside of Rio Sao Francisco. So to suggest that are some of these floating out there is slim to none. You have to do a special expedition to get these. And most of these end up in Japan.

I hate to say it, but I'm tempted to say it's a mal too... and it dosn't look much like the one pictured. Still, neat wolf... and how about just posting the price?
