Alright I'll be getting 2 endlis and 2 ornates for my 150g first. But guys, I really need your help. I've had horrible luck with ornates and endlis. They're gonna be 2.5" to 3" each.

Previously I've had problems with them eating. Got them frozen blood worms and they refused to eat and they end up dying after a month or so. Probably starved to death. I don't think it was the water condition as my senegals were fine in the same tank. I doubt the senegals were "bullying" them either as they were about the same size as the endlis and ornates back then.

Any clues? Am I missing out somethin when it come to those 2 types of polys? Any help would be much appreciated.

what else is in the tank? I fed mine (i have 3 endlis) sinking pellets at that size, hikari brand and they ate them readily. I also diced up market shrimp for them. I don't like bloodworms because they fall apart and float around the tank. The pellets were easier for my guys to spot. You could also try some mysis or some cut up silversides. Do you know what they are currently being fed? I would ask that as well.

all my bichirs love sinking pellets and frozen bloodworms. they eat anything, they also love my feeders (captive bred mosquito fish) they hunt them in the tank when the lights are off.i have no idea whats wrong with yours but do they have other tankmates?

Nope. No other tank mates back then. Well, I never thought of sinking pellets. Aren't the pellets too big? Well, I'll ask the LFS keeper what they're feeding them tomorrow before I make the purchase. Maybe get them a pack of Hikari sinking pellets as well.

I really dont want them to die this time.

that's a good idea. they might have been used to eating a different kind of food in the LFS. takes some time for them to adjust.

try more foods my 3" laps eat silver sides pieces the size of there head or bigger try mealworms beefheart and earthworms my polys luv that stuff

sinking cichlid gold works well, also I am using xtreme large fish sticks, which are actually only about 2.5 mm long.

omega one shrimp pellets are great as well.

what i did to feed my endli and ornate when they were little is i chopped up massivore delite pellets in to smaller peices and they loved it
