I do not recommend using you finger to smooth out the silicone at the bottom of the tank, last time i did i had a leak. For the bottom use a spoon to smooth it out, it will make the seal a lot much thicker. I also did in on the sides to be safe and it look more clean with a spoon.

Ok thanks would you suggest dipping the spoon in rubbing alcohol each time to keep the spoon from sticking to it?
