Yeah, I knew that they aren't a true Aro species for quite a while. It's just that I would like to have a comm of different Arowanas from across the world, barring the Paima due to size.

Hmm, can't comment on afro and lei seeing that i never kept one, but i think it is not necessary to have a banjar if you got a chilli already. For asian aro collection just stick with X-back, chilli, green and RTG ... though there is no guarantee that it will work. red, x-back and blue is working for me now (green removed). HBRTG, black and green is no working (currently separated).

Cut one silver and black (one each) - imo no need two of each

...then you have a jar ... i would not risk asian aros with a jar ... but that's just me =P

And lastly, start that savings account. You gonna needed it ^^ your collection would be quite impressive $$$$wise. Tank to hold all those fish is gonna be quite costly too

The tank will be an 8x4x4. A college graduation gift from my parents. Hence why it will be quite a while before I could start.

It all by itself in my 180g tank. No tank mates as it won't stop harassing my other aros. Even my jar is being bullied. Somehow it hates the true arowana species.

It was for free. The guy that gave it to me thought it was some kind of minnow. He got no clue that it was an african aro.
