I too got into Pollys recently like 7 months ago. They’re awesome Fish :). And I feed my guys just sinking massivores, they all seem to love it :).

Wow ...you guys are both "enablers" lol.

Truer words have never been spoken!

We all are though. Keeping polys is an odd thing because even though they're not like most larger fish where they always go crazy when they see you or anything like that but for some reason there is just a special bond you get with polys.

I was so devastated when i lost my PBB i completely got out of fish keeping for a while.

At your Del's size now you can definitely feed every other day. Most here use a sinking carnivore pellet of different brands and fish like tilapia or silversides as the staples, then mix in things like frozen krill, live earthworms, and catfish as mentioned every week or so supposedly helps prevent bloat because of the oils I think.

Here's a list of all the species, separated into upper and lower jaws. The photos are limited but it is a good snapshot. It's in the stickies up top. I know, there are too many up there. ;)

I personally don't feed pellets/dry foods, as I don't like them. The diet for my bichirs/ropefish consists of tilapia, rainbow trout, white pacific shrimp, krill, silversides, and the odd bloodworm cube. I cut everything to size and mix it up in a bowl, then I add in some Boyd's VitaChem (freshwater version). Then I load it all into freezer bags, flatten it out to about a 1/3" thick, and store the sheets of food in the freezer.

To feed it I break off a chunk, defrost, and toss it in the tank. I don't dump the thawing water in the tank, I scoop out the food by hand and throw it in bit by bit so I don't overfeed. Excess goes to the catfish.
