The T8's should also be okay, but will still limit you somewhat as to what you'll be able to grow later on if you want to go more high-tech...

As for sunlight, just becareful it doesnt cause an algae boom, as sunlight can be a little unpredictable

Luckily, its indirect sunlight. The tank has been there for a few months, no problems as of yet. I figured I will see how it goes now, with some beginner plants and the bulb/hood I got, maybe the better T8, and if all goes well, and I want to pursue further into planted tanks, I will then look into T5-HO...
