Again, go deep where the weed edge meets the deep. That is where we caught bigger sunfish and bigger bullheads. It holds true for pure green sunfish as well.

These ones are over 9+ inches easier. We always caught them in deeper parts.

Ate it already. I did had a giant pumpkinseed in the aquarium but it was being an azzhole so it went to the wildlife center.

Are you sure you're not mistaking that pumpkinseed for a redear? Pumpkinseeds max out at around 10 or so inches. redears and bluegill can get into that 16-17 range but not pumpkinseeds.

Rule 1#: Check the redear sunfish range before you makes any assumptions. Also I live in Minnesota.....
Rule 2#: I don't trust maximum size. Plenty of 11-13" pumpkinseeds in this state.
