I just picked up a 75 gallon all glass aquarium for $50 just the tank ... it is one without a center brace the glass is half inch thick. it is wood trim tho and i was wondering if i could paint the wood black to be like my other one? now all i need is to build a bigger stand and get a filter and gravel. i have yet to see how well it holds water but the tanks condition seems quite fair. compared to the 75 tank i bought for $180 with braces and 1/4 inch glass. i bought this for my two blue acaras and was also wondering if i might be able to keep anything else on the smaller side with them?

As for the stand it would be holding 2 - 75 gallon tanks. i like the setup of this stand.

i am going to be building the top and bottom from 2 x 6 pressure treated lumber and build the top and bottom with braces in between like a floor. and for the corner legs use 6 x 6 wondering tho if i could use for my 4 center legs 4 x 4's or go again with 6 x 6s to support the weight? the stand will prolly be around 10' in length and about 24" in width and for the top instead of plywood i was going to use two 2 x 12 pressure treated. any opinions please?

price is alright... i guess from a socal perspective it's a bit on the common side (but that's cuz we are spoiled for choice).
the glass is really nice and thick though so in that sense it's not too bad.

i thought it was a good buy. add was for $100 but when i got there he said $50 so right on. anyone have better opinions for a building a stand to have the two 75's beside each other??

My opinion is that is a GOOD buy :) They are selling for that around here like hot cakes the last couple weeks... But that is not a regular price./.. usually 75-100.00 here :)

Very good buy looking forward to seing the project!
