i think making a sump would be my best option
i found an old odyssea pump laying around it says it can pump 680gph at 1' lift
would this pump do what i want it to do or do i need a better one?

^ at 1' its 680? your probably goin to be lifting water more than 1' out of the sump... you can run two ac110 or an eheim classic and an ac110

are you sure 2 ac110's would keep the water clear
im planning on keeping about 12 bichirs in it and some other fish

12 bichirs? what kind?

if you plan on buying a canister, no matter what brand your going to drop 100+. so your option is to spend money for two canisters or a canister and an ac110. or DIY a sump.

6 sens and 6 dels and 6-7 other fish just havent figured out what i want yet
so would 2 ac110's be enough?

Word I'm using this same type setup on one of my 75G, Eheim 2217 (2215 is cheaper but it's pretty good too) and a emperor 400 (came with the tank so I didn't bother getting the ac110)

i have 1 xp3 on my 125, and really need something more, I can see particles floating in the water. It's not much, but it really annoys me, i'll be getting another canister soon.
