Good cheap t5 not flood light

Just realized we have pretty much the same setup. I have 4 Cichla, 1 silver aro, a albino tiger oscar, and 3 geos. I have a TT eel and spotted pim cat as well.

It may be really bright but its 1,000x better than standard fluorescent lighting. It also makes the fishes colors really pop.
 
can u grow plants under those
 
IMO lighting is one of the most important and overlooked aspects of the aquarium (aside from life support). I've seen people spend $1,000's on a nice display tank, fish and decor only to throw a shop light on top. Yeah it works but compared to a metal halide or LED they're :barf:

The shimmer from LED's and Metal Halides comes from the surface aggitation. You can make it zero shimmer or crazy shimmer, however you like it. Some fish are spooked by the shimmer others could careless.

Is ATI a good brand i heard it is because i know a guy selling 2 36 inch dual ATI t5 fixtures with moonlight leds for a total of $80 used but in great condition
