Good Cichlids for a 45 gallon tank.

Cyprichromis leptosoma only get to be around 4 1/2-5 inches, how big of a concern is size if you only do those

They like groups. The tank just feels right for me. Up to you.

I like the Lake Tanganyika tank idea a lot, how many Cyprichromis could I have in the tank?

The cyps would need a longer tank. The mau not get larger, but they are constantly swimming. The shelldweller idea is good and you would still have room for a pair of rock dwellers like comps, calvus, or smaller julis.
