where is a good place to get clean water for reef if i dont have filter? carwash, cheep bottled water, boil water? help me out please...

RO/DI water, real ocean water, distilled water.

Try your LFS. They often sell RO water and if you have a good relationship with them you might even get for free.

Not wanting to sound funny, but if you have a reef you should really invest in a reverse osmosis unit, you can usually buy RO from your LFS but in the long run it would be cheaper to buy your own ( dependent on the volume of your water changes )
Chlorine, phosphates and nitrates in tap water can cause problems with your reef.
The easy way to think about it is you have spent $X on live rock and $X on corals and fish, I bet the RO doesnt even come close to that value.

Steve :)

Id agree also with the RO, I am not sure how it couldnt do anybetter unless it isnt working properly? Anywho if that doesnt work I dont have salt water but my next best choice is the purified water from the grocery store, My water is way to hard and when it get hot it turns white. O__o Anywho I agree invest in an RO

well i really dont have a lfs about 125 miles away is the nearest location lets just say i live close to no where what fun..
