good deal or not, please help me decide!!!!

some friends i know are wanting to get rid of a couple tanks .

1 55gal setup. tank, stand, hood and filters
one hob that i think was a penguin
one fluval 404 i believe is what it said
undegravel filter and air pump
also with the 55 are the fish
1 6" Distichodus sexfasciatus
1 5" flying fox
and a few smaller fish tetras and goramis (spelling)

The second tank is a 20 tall setup. tank, stand, hood , and canopy
included is the hob filter. didn't check the brand
undergravel filter and air pump
and who knows how many guppys

all this for $225.00

so you make the call deal or know deal

not a bad deal offer them $200.00 and see what they say . cant hurt . but not bad deal but some times you can get much better deals than that depending on where you are . but thats just my 2 cents
 
id say a good deal but both are small tanks so they dont leave many options for other fish
 
MY 30 g. was free with everything ... My 55 cost 25 bucks after buying the 25.00 emp 400 ... MY 18g with everything was 25.00 plus they gave me a grip of food and declor and all kinds of other crap :)... MY 150 was 300 everthing but the filter ... The 90 i had i got for 75.00.. Mint condition..

The 250 g. acrylice i just repaired for 35.00 built a stand for 75.00 nice one too. and then the tank was 100.00 So i'd say hhhmmmm NO. At 1.00 per gallon used you should pay at most just for the tanks 75.00.. including the other stuff i'd say 150.00 at most in excellent condition... There are better deals..

But thats just my opinion :)
 
In my area, $200 would be a fair price. Not sure you need to use an undergravel with all that filtration, and IMO they are a pain.

sounds like a good deal to me....

thou what would a 6in. dist. sex usually run? arent they pretty expensive???

what does a 6" Distichodus sexfasciatus go for
myself have never seen one so i am willing to pay extra for that bad boy

yeah, i would go for the deal if it was around $200, and i'm sure you can talk em down on the price too

then, throw the undergravel filters away
