Why doesn't anyone like UGFs? They are great for smaller tanks. They can hold loads of bacteria. Basically turns all of your substrate into a mechanical/biological filter. I would even say that the UGF has 3 to 4X the amount of surface area compared to the two filters that come with the 55 . It is old technology, but that doesn't mean it does't work. I don't know how many stores I've seen running of just UGFs.

myself have never seen one so i am willing to pay extra for that bad boy

well i bought the whole thing for $225
and i lied the Distichodus sexfasciatus isn't 6" but 9" i couldn't resist
i have a addiction to fish and the only thing that cures it is more fish
I know have 7 tanks

btw glad to be back rally, this summer has been so hectic i haven't even had time for myself to relax
