I posted this in another forum but wasn't getting any responses so I thought this one might be more appropriate. Just trying to get a few opinions on whether or not this is a good deal before I purchase. Owner will sell it to me for $800.

150 Gallon Tank
Beautiful Birds Eye Maple stand (made by Knoll - worth $thousands on its own!)
Brand new 72" light strip with 2 barely used compact fluorescent bulbs - (Extremely expensive fixture)
Two (2) Fluval 404 canister filters with extra unused filter media.
Two (2) Tetra submersible heaters, One unknown brand submersible heater
1 Eheim 2213 canister filter
1 brand new (unused) Merlin fluidized bed filter
Several powerheads
Several air pumps, lots of airline tubing
Water Test Kit (pH, Hardness, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate)
Extra filter media (carbon, ammo chips, etc.)
Various chemicals (dechlorinators, etc.)
Extra fish food
Various decorative stones
Gravel
Many maintenance accessories (siphon set, cleaning magnets, scrubbing pads, etc.)

Entire set up cost nearly $3000 originally. Due to moving several times within the last year, it was only set up and running once for a period of about 5 months. Everything is in BRAND-NEW or nearly new Condition.

no, that is too steep

Opps... didn't realize you were buying that not selling that. I wouldn't pay that for that particular setup but it's up to you and how much of that stuff you're really going to use in your own setup.

Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I may say Id pay 200 you may say 20. is it worth it to you?

wow. i thought it was a deal. i haven't seen any 150 gallons (with stand) under a grand around here. thanks though.

hmmm...think i've seen 90-110 gallons with stands for that price ($699) in most stores. i know the DC area was a bit more expensive than other areas but I didn't think it was that much more pricey.

I'm not sure if you can beat that price new. But I think you can beat it used for sure like finding a similar setup on craiglist.org. And you could put together a new setup for a little more. But totally up to you. My problem with the stuff above is most of the filtration/fish food/chemicals I wouldn't use anyways.

Talking about new setups. Have you checked with Scales? A 125-150 might not be a bad price from them. I remember then had a 125 with overflows I think on sale. Also might want to check with aquarium depot in Randallstown.

Finally if you want to drive about 2 hours up here in PA at www.thatfishplace.com they're having a overstock sale on tanks 150g and under and they have 150g woodgrain perfecto for $245.00 but it says "quanitys are limited" so you'd want to call and reserve one if you want to peice together a setup. The black/oak 150g's are slightly higher in price. A cheap stand for that tank is 199.00 and then glass tops would be 42.00.
