my buddy just bought a 260g glass tank, stand with 40g sump and all the plumbing, skimmer, heaters, pumps, lights, 250 pounds of live rock, 100 pounds of live sand, large snails, a large anemone, a feather duster and too many fish to list(some really rare) i know one fish is worth $400 and a couple are worth $100 about 40 fish alltogether costing atleast $2000.
He has never owned a fish tank EVER
he knew a guy that knew a guy with this tank that had to move from a big house into small apartment(divorce). he put this setup on our local website for $7,000 for awhile with no hits. he had 3 days to get all his crap out of the house. so with no options left he sold it to my buddy for $2,000
my buddy borrowed the cash from his g/f and bought the tank hopeing to turn around and sell it for $7,000 pay his g/f back and make some profet. here's his add http://classifieds.castanet.net/showproduct.php/product/330816/cat/130
do you think things will work out for him is $7,000 a good asking price for this $14,000 dollar setup?
