In my experience, When given a large enough aquarium and plenty of hiding spots, they won't bother each other. Just my .02.

Yes, quite a few people do, actually (unfortunately I'm not one of them).dbcb314;4617509; said:does anyone actually have 2 adult spiny eels (say... 24"+) together in the same tank?
It seems to me that most of the time it does. Fire and tire track eels both have reputations for being extremely aggressive toward conspecific fish, but I have seen quite a few setups with both species (or multiple eels of the same species) that didn't have any problemd, and I have only heard of a couple cases in which the combo didn't work out. I think if they have enough space and hiding places, they should be perfectly fine together. The only thing keeping me from trying that combo is the fact that my tank is already overstocked.duckyducttape;4618532; said:does it work out ok? cause i would defenetly put a tiretrack in with my fire eel.. cause i really like both of them...i geuss if it didnt work out i could do the guppies with him and maybe a school of neon tetras just for color..
