Good Deal?

Just picked up a bristlenose pleco

It's 4 inches and cost me 6 bucks

I've got no experience with the cost of these plecos
so was it a good deal?

yeah thats a good deal there anywhere from $10 to $20 at that size which is almost full grown i believe

Yee I think it is pretty much full grown, maybe it'll grow another inch. Everytime I've seen bristlenose before they have just been in the tank with no price listed. But I have seen babies for sale on craigslist for like 2 dollars multiple times, so I wasn't really sure of the price for one this size

can anyone help me on identifying the type of bristlenose it is? It's greyish and doesn't really look like all the other BN's I've seen. I'll post pics tomorrow

I also agree that it is a fair price... wish you were closer, could have given you some free ones, my BN keeps breeding like crazy. I can't sell mine so mine as well give it away! lol

darn I would have loved some free bristlenose! their actually not too common around here, I only see them at one local store every now and then. I think if stores do get them in, they sell really fast
