Good filteration for 55G

on a 55 I would get two emperor 280s vs one 400. Same out of filter material capacity with some extra flow. The two 280s will fit in the space the 400 would go. If you ever over stocked the tank you can add two more 280s for a total of four.

I've got 2 AC110 HOB filters on my 55. I was planing on only one but the guy I bought them from gave me both for $40, I figured that was a sign from God and bought them both and they work fantastic.
