Hey, does anyone know of any good fish stores in Houston, TX?

I searched the fish store sticky and looked at the map but didn't see anything (there has to be stores there, you guys need to post some!).

My husband is working down for a couple of days and has a bit of time to look around so he was wondering.
We're mostly interested in exotic and large stuff or loaches (specifically big clowns).

Thanks.

Extreme pets, fish ranch II, city pets, fish land, Aquarium World, t&t pets.... Just a few.

All these are located on the west side of town. If interested in directions and stuff let me know.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't think he'll need directions, I found addresses and his gps unit usually works pretty good.

Fish R Us- On the North side of town (The Woodlands/Conroe area). I-45N to 242 (about 12 miles N of Beltway 8). Go Right (East) on 242 for about a mile. Big blue building on the left. AMAZING AFRICAN CICHLID COLLECTION & 32" MBU PUFFER!!!!!

That one was just way too far (like 57 miles north of around where he's at), but thanks for the suggestion.

So far he's been to City Pets, Xtreme Pets, Aquarium World and a couple of others that he ran across on his own. Aquatic World was one of them I think.

I don't know if he'll go to Fish Ranch or not. Right now he's more in the Aquarium World vacinity and he'd have to drive further north again to get to Fish Ranch. Since he's working in Rosenberg it would take him kinda far from where he's staying.

He did find a lot of stuff he wants to buy and take home though, too much to get so hopefully he can narrow it down some lol.

Awesome, glad he is having fun. Just for a neat thing look at he should go to the Aquarium Resturant. It is a public aquarium and, well, resturant located near 10 and 610 on the west side. Pretty decent displays.

I'll have to mention that for next time or when I go down there with him. He's short on time right now because he has to work in the morning and then drive home (11-12hr drive) tomorrow afternoon.

He did buy a few things he wanted, nothing exciting though.
A Geophagis surinamensis, Uaru, green phantom pleco, pencilfish, an oddball pattern clown loach. Possibly a flagtail.
Kind of on a budget right now (Plus he found a good indian grocery store which blew part of it....), but he said all the stores had a good selection and some really large fish. Hopefully I can make it down there myself to look around sometime this year.
One of the stores apparently had an extremely aggressive giant gourami that kept banging into the glass, he got a kick out of that lol.
