why not go native like a red rat snake or cal king?

I love my hognose. They never bite, are very cute, and their defense mechanism is to play dead.

I pretty much fell in love with hognoses after we had one at the LFS where I worked for a couple years. He was just a little baby, but he was the most docile snake ever. The more I think about this, the more I want one bigger boa/python and a second smaller snake if space/funds allow. Even though they are mildly venomous, I would still definitely consider a hognose.

I'm also kind of thinking about a king if I get a second snake (or third, but it will definitely be a while before I go for a third snake)
