Good idea? Possible addition to my tank

I had my 2 florida.gars.with my silver aro for a while. I had the opposite problem my aro hated my gars and would regularly drive them out or his territory. He was about 22" at.the time and one gar wad 13" and one 16". They never went after him though. I eventually moved the gars cause my aro didnt want to let them swim around too often.Funny thing is my gars now somtimes try to attack my larg viejas they are housed with so i see another move for.them in the near future.

Gars & arowanas do not mix. While there are a few cases of it working out short-term & even fewer of it working out long-term, most of the time you're looking at aggression and/or stress issues for the gars and/or the arowanas. In the end, it's not worth risking it in order to maybe get it to work when you could end up with severely injured fishes if it doesn't work out.

Also, YouTube is garbage for the most part. If everything I saw on YouTube was to be held as an appropriate way to keep fishes, then we would all have big arowanas in 55 gallon aquariums & would think nothing of it even though what they really need is far from that.

I have a 22 inch aro with two 15 inch gator gar. Initially the aro beat the crap out of them but now seems to accept them. Had a tough time to get the gars to eat pellets. Now all three are eating pellets.
