GOOD LFS in central ohio ???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
as always i have to rep Jacks at Easton ... they are pretty good at getting some "oddballs", or at least the most common oddballs

also, BigJ told me about the Petland in ?reynoldsburg?, its just off 70 and hamilton (to the south) and they have probably the 2nd or 3rd best setup in town (AA is best obviously, then its either petland or jacks). you could walk in and not even know they have fish, as it is tucked in the back, but once you get back there, its like a diamond in the rough
they have a lot of tanks! i was suprised, and i didnt notice their prices being as outrageous as the other petlands i have been to ... probably not worth a ton of gas money, but if you're close i'd recommend it. not as many oddballs as jacks or AA, but they do sell some bigger fish, which can be a good thing. (had a 20" ID for $50 that i was eyeing :) and some decent sized pacu, and oscars

and BigJ also has told me about RJ's ... its out east of columbus, and i haven't checked it out myself, but he says they get some good oddballs in, and from what he has said the prices are far lower than anywhere else around. i call them if i am looking for certain fish that are expensive, just to see if they have them. they usually don't but they are always very nice on the phone (for what its worth)

Exotics and Aquatics, I'm not close, but have been there. They carry tons of oddball fish.

For Cincy there is aquatics and exotics (VERY NICE) and WET PETS... House of Tropicals was nice too but I heard someone say they went out of business..
