Catalina lights are very good. I have a 48" Solar T5HO 4x54w over my 125. It leaves a foot of tank at each end of the fixture, but I think it does fine with low light plants on the end. From the research I did for buying a light, you just can't beat the value of that light that is on sale.

T5 is better than PC. They are more efficient, last longer, and run cooler.

I dont remember what the lights are i put in. They were near the light fixture. It was the highest Output light that was near it. The light i bought was a 2 bulb shop fixture, no bulbs with it. It not too expensive.
