Good medications...

With a 6" fish it is very easy to over medicate when presoaking feed in metronidazole, which is why I posted what I did.

Ordered the general cure. I unfortunately have 250 gallons to treat so it was a little pricey. Will be worth it if it works. I dont know if they will eat soaked pellets but I will try for sure. I just moved my orinos back in with the kelberis so I can treat all of them together. I will keep you updated.

If directly feeding not the way I suggested. It would be very diffacult to OD the fish doing it this way. Using a pipet and dosing directly yes.

On average I go through about 15 massivore per feeding. One pack between 7 fish total should be fine I assume.

Edit- I fed that much before this issue popped up again. Lately they only eat a few pieces and get spooked by a splash as flee.

That depends entirely on the weight of the fish. One packet of API General Cure contains 250 mg of Metro, and 75 mg of Prazi. As previously stated Dr. Edward Noga suggests 25 mg/Kg of body weight/day for 5 to 10 days, or 100 mg/kg of body weight for 3 days. Retreat once if required.

I posted the info that I did as the vast majority of fishkeepers do not realize that there are risks associated with adding meds such as metro to their fishes water and/or feed.

Also would adding aquarium salt with the meds be beneficial?

General cure should do the trick. I had to medicate my 180 last year. Worked like a charm.

sent from your girl's cell phone she busy right now.

Cool, I had to order it so it will be here tomorrow. Pretty anxious to get this started. Im prety sure the Orinos have had the diesease or whatever it is all along but just never bothered them much. Considering they were wild that is. Now I notice the kels arent acting right or eating well any more. I hope this works.

Day one of medication. They were acting all crazy last night, swimming up and down the sides of the glass & darting all over the place about an hour after I dosed. They calmed back down by night time. This morning they ate and seemed as normal as can be. Wouldnt take any medicated food though. They spit it right out due it being mushy I think.
