No personal experience with Rams so Im not sure about them. Loaches are way cool! They also stick together and are quick movers! Clean the bottoms really well. Good looking to!

Bump for my first post about the mix of Cichlids i want to put in the tank and about the Barbs , Tetras and Danios .

I have been told before the Cichlids should be fine and the Barbs aswel . But any thing else i should know or think about ?

Bump on the question about the Rams and Laoches .

Not sure the Rams would work , What you think ?
The Loaches , what you think about them ? How many should i think about getting ?

Anybody ?

I know i'm asking about Barbs, Tetras, Danios and Loaches in a cichlid section but i thought i would ask anyways as i am asking about Cichlids and good tank mates for this types of Cichlids .

So whats your thought on them ?

Also i am thinking about getting a few Rams too good idea or not ?/

Real or fake plants ?

Dont really want to fill the tank full of them but would like a few dotted around .

Here is what the tank looks like now , fish in there now are the 2 Common Pleco , the 2 red and 1 Gold Severum , 1 Port Acara

and for only a coulpe of months there are 2 tiny Oscars in there until they get big enough to go in with the other Oscars i have in another tank .

i've had loaches w/ my pike, jags, firemouths, and red terrors....they seem to just ignore the cichlid aggression and go on their dopey way. in all cases they were ignored by all the cichlids in a matter of days...except my butterfly loach...the pike thought he was tastey. i've found yoyo and tiger loaches to be a lot of fun...always moving
