I just checked NE Cichlids website. Prices look good, selection of Africans is LIMITED and I tend to be a little wary of places that sell "assorted Africans". This usually translates to hybrids!!! I am certain some look cool, but that is a whole other can of worms to open up!
thats how rumers get started all his fish are in species only tanks no hybrids

This is not about rumors. This is about marketing and avoiding vagaries on a website. It is not my job to clarify. It is the vendor's! So If the Vendor wants to sell assorted cichlids and is experienced in the hobby, then why not clarify what it is being sold? Don't put this on me. You survey the industry and I am pretty certain most would tell you they would expect "assorted" to include fish not identifiable. Capisce?

I never said it was about rumors, or how to start rumors. You need to read the thread again! I did not put nothing on you, I was just explaining what strains his assorted cichlids were, so you would know!

This is my point. Why should anyone other than the vendor do the clarifying?
If your business model is online sales, then you had better be meticulous in your attention to detail when you are posting descriptions. Otherwise you have people out there on forums cleaning up your mess. And that is not our responsibility, is it? I mean how can we be expected to do this competently? As far as I am concerned, this is just your opinion and you are just as ignorant as I am. Compared to the guys who run the store, who would you rather get your info from.
All I am doing is looking accountability here when people put up a website. They reap what they sew! Gotta be a little more meticulous with website content.
Now do you capisce?

The lady or man on the forum, asked for a good vendor, for cichlids. i was explaining to him or her about what he sells, and going into a little detail to help him or her out. I do believe sellers should go into a little detail, if they have a few things for sale, not when they have as many things for sale as N-E cichlid does. If someone is interested, they will ask or pm for details. All I said, was i believe N-Cichlids was a good vendor, and was explaining not to you, but the person who started the thread, what cichlids were available, and the strains that were included. You are getting pissed off at me, for telling a little bit of information, about cichlids that N-E Cichlids sells, and telling them that he is a goog vendor! Right?

I am not pissed off at anyone here. The point to be made is that good vendors deliver what they sell successfully at a good price. it's all about value. Part of the value proposition is ease of finding what you want. That is where complete info comes in. See how easy it would be to infuse this little gem into their list:

Assorted cichlids are mbuna in this size range, no hybrids and may include auratus johannis and zebras.

Doesn't matter how big their livestock list is. Adding those sorts of clarifying descriptions takes about 30 seconds and will save tons of time for the vendor and his customers.
And counting on customers to clarify anything for them is just a bad business decision. Are you following this at all or are you too embroiled in defending yourself in the face of an attack that just is not real?

I do understand where you are coming from, yes he should put a little detail on each fish species, etc. I do know that some mbuna may be hybrids, but me and the other guy know that they are species tanks only, so we shared that with eveyone. But no way, is he counting on customers, to give descriptions of fish and things for him. I was just sharing my thoughts, just like you are! And I just go into a little detail for the person who started the thread. That is all!!!!!!!!!!!!
