Good, or Bad Idea?

Is it ok to mix Calvus with Shell dwellers? I have a group of 6 juvi. Black Calvus & I wanted to add 4-6 Gold Ocelatus to the aquarium. They are in a 29g at the moment and are about an 1" long. The long term setup would be a 65-75g all Zambian aquarium. Opinions please

If you want to keep the Occies babies you probably don't want to keep them in with the Calvus, but otherwise it should work. The calvus will keep your colony in check. Good luck,

Good advice, thanks for the response. I guess I can give it a try, the ocellatus at the lfs aren't quite ready to breed yet so I'm not too worried about the fry.

Well, I'm going to go pick them up now. The clerk @ my cichlid source says they only got 9 more, I just put 6 on hold. Pics when they get here!

The calvus are small, 1.5" I plan on keeping the tank long term and I am hoping for 1m 2f for the calvus, but they are too young to tell for sure. I wish I could tell you more, but the tank hasn't been set up that long, about 5-6 weeks.

I like what you've done with the rocks. Yeah, mine are pretty much at the same point yours are, but I have 6.
