Good pellet food for aro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My silver is doing well and taking Hikari carnivore stick as well as Cichlid staple, bio gold and excel.

lol, good one. I love that sharp sense of humor. I also agree.

If you don't feed your fish Omega One and/or Hikari Bio-Gold, it means you hate them. LOL

when aros get bigger pellets/sticks are almost useless.
They are good as a suppliment, but unless you want to dump all of your cash on overpriced pellets, go with shrimp, smelt, beefheart, nightcrawlers, AND pellets.

You can inject the above foods with veggies and garlic to make a better food anyway

I've been using New Life Spectrum with good success.

I agree with the comment above - there's a point at which pellets aren't enough. I'm using the largest available pellet size for my 8" silver and it's getting to a point where he needs quite a few for a decent meal.

Mix it up with shrimps and high quality pellets like carnivore sticks ( they are just too small !)
and your aro should be good !

Mine won't eat any of the pellets I've fed.....even the kinds with picture of arowanas on the damn bag.
Mine eats Tetra-brand freeze-dried krill like mad, don't even try to put the Wardley Walmart kind in there... he won't eat them.... wierd.
Also will eat the frozen bloodworms by the cube..and of course....feeder fish.
