i was at my local petsmart, like i said in another thread(only it was about a bichir) and i saw this little box that was a snakekeeping kit for around 30 bucks. it came with a heat pad, feeding tongs, and something else i cant remember. is this a good price? or should i wait till the reptile expo and buy everything including the snake all at once for very cheap. i also saw a corn snake there for the first time in person :) it was awesome. the price wasnt though, 50 bucks!:irked: no worries, the nice ones at the reptile expo only cost $10 :D

really? nobody yet? this thread has been fewed a few times, why dont you guys tell me what you think?

Honestly, i think its stupid. Petco/petsmart want to "kit" everything they possibly can. Usually giving you stuff you don't need. Its too generic..."snake" covers a broad scheme of species. Figure out what snake you want first then go from there. Also, buy stuff at an expo/show....much cheaper and you can get what you need.

That isn't too too bad but I think you'll want a bigger UTH anyway...probably better off buying the stuff separate.

Also i think you answered your own question right there. Keep in mind a lot of stuff with herps doesn't need to be made for them. Especially something like feeding tongs...thats like a $1 at the grocery store.

yeah well the reason i asked that question is that i dont want the snake to die or get sick on me while i rush home, get everything set up and wait for the under tank heater to heat up. would this happen or would it be fine?

Or $1 at the reptile show. I got some feeding tongs a few years ago for like $1-2. Then, when I got home and opened the package, I found out it was a 2 pack of tongs, and they were pretty good sized feeding tongs...10" I think
