I usually buy my filters from Walmart for smaller tanks because it’s much cheaper but the last 2 were no good. They keep stoping and only run for 5 to 10 minutes. I was wondering if anybody knew of some very good quality filters. A filter they are more than pleased with?

I'm loyal to Aquaclear HOB. I've used the AC30,50,70, and 110 even before they were named those. Best HOB hands down. Might not be as cheap as a Walmart one but!, you get what you pay for. People usually sell them used on the market place for $15-$50 depending on model. It adds good flow to your tank too. Get one that fits your tank. Just remember; Over filtration isn't enough filtration. Lol

Very true. Totally agree

They are filter workhorses, I run a 110 and 30 and I love em :)

Get a good airpump and a spare, run sponge or a box. Best filters in the hobby since the mid-'30s.

I agree Aquaclear's are great. A tip tho, if you have sand substrate get a sponge to put over the intake to block the sand from getting up in the impeller. I got AC30 sponges and put them on my intakes.

I change the order to the 50.
Reading is hard lol.

You should try and cancel that and reorder the 110. You may upgrade in the future and you'll need one and beside I've used a AC110 for a 29g with a bunch of flowerhorn frys it's not too bad.
