good starter car?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMHO, I hate Jeep and all their Safari Sam ilk. Get either a "jap crap" car that runs better than other cars and fixes easily when you drive it into a post, or get a Ford F650 and you won't crash. Just smoosh some priuses and celicas. What about Audi? Does Lord Volvo Von rmorse have anything about them?

Confused about the "fixes easily when you drive it into a post."

Careful, your inexperience working on cars is showing.

Audis are not necessarily expensive get a used a4...I have a friend who just got a 2003 a4 with 55000 for 9.

by the way volvo is the ****..my mom has the s40 1.8t and it runs like new with 150,000 on it. I am looking for a new car to, I have been looking at saabs. I like a 93 aero but that can be alittle expensive ha. sweds know how to make cars....bottomline.

Saab...hrm. I have mixed feelings about them. I like how long they run, and they are certainly well-built cars. However, I HATE the look of them. I dunno, something about them. Never liked the look.

Audi's are nice though.

Cute s40. I like it.

Plastic costs less than metal ;) . My dad drove his G35 into a post once.

Of course, in a 1 on 1, not much short of a transport truck can plow a F650. That's when you regret getting a honda.
MHO about car brands:
Volvo - Runs well, but i don't really like the look
Ford - Unless it's a 'stang, it's terrible
Mustang - Awesomeness, but a crappy first car for a host of reasons
Honda - Jap crap in it's truest form
Nissan - Got some nice sports cars, but your first car probs won't be a 350z
Volksvagen - Das Auto
Audi - Nice beginner car, runs quite smoothly
Subaru - The Impreza is nice...
Chevy Jeep Dodge - Some Dodges are OK...
GM - No.
Saturn - if you get around the appearance, a nice car...
