For glass, yes, it's just best to use some elbow grease. Fish don't really care if they miss a spot or not. I use Gold nuggets and Farlowella catfishes in my 125 gallon tank. My intakes, wood, powerheads, hoses, cords, all look like I was meticulously cleaning them.
