No oscar,You can barely keep one in a 75.Maybe a school of rainbows or other dither fish.Might go with a convict or other smaller sized cichlid that can hang with them.

are you saying no oscar due to their bio load? like if you cleaned the tank enough could you make it work, and also with adequit filtration? or will it not work beacuse the fish will fight too much etc,?

i wouldnt mind having a similar tank, but i can understand it not working out.

i mean you would have to have really good filtration yes and it could work for a little while when they are small but it wont work long term because the grown size of these fish will be too much for that tank causing them to be extremely stressed, fight more and be more prone to disease, i would also just leave it with what you have in it and get some kind of smaller schooling fish (big enough to not get eaten of course:)

oh and fox your little tiger oscar in your avatar is gorgeous! he has alot more red than the ones i see at stores around here:(

In terms of filtration I have a Rena xP3 canister filter, a penguin 450 powerhead with a sponge filter attached to it, and a HOB filter running with ammo-carb in it. (;
I think as of right now I have plenty of filtration and the beneficial bacteria has tons of surface area to grow on in my canister filter. I have nylon pot scrubbers, sponges, and filter fiber in there. (;
I know what I'm doing in terms of filtration. Lol.

I say go for it. I have a similar stock in my 80 gal, 2 jd's, 1 gt2, 2 tiger oscars, and 1 red. And they all seem to get along great.

That is really really bad advice. When all your fish are full grown you will need at least a 200 gallon tank.

Frankly speaking its statements like the one I quoted that contribute(unjustly) to MFK's less than stellar reputation on the web.
