Good tankmate for Oscar

I just got a 72gal bowfront aquarium for my 10" oscar and want to put something else in there, I was thinking maybe a bichir but am not sure yet, any suggestions are appreciated.
 
a bichir might work, wouldn't add any more cichlids though, the footprint might be too small

OOOHHHHH.......NO!!!!! no lung fish!!!!
go with a couple belly crawling pike.
 
Yeah im with djarmstrong we've had a pacu an oscar and a pleco in one tank. Besides that they look cool and keep your tank clean. ;D
 
cats w/ big whiskers are good additions....I had some pacus w/ my oscars...but the pacu's will get waaay too big for a 72 gallon. Get a pleco other than a common plec....soooo many diff. choices.

Although the op won't be able to add a pacu, since the tank is a 72 bowfront. Problem will be that filtration should be very good, since plecos are so darn messy.
 
If it is truely 10'' maybe a decent size jag or butti? check my ad I have some free fish.:D
