Not true, he is actually an albino gibby, see pics here and you will see he is;

They're not hard to find where i live at the least, one of my lfs has a tank which is full of albino gibbys for sale.

my knowledge on plecos is limited, more into the ACs. I just know he was awsome while i had him, he kept the pond almost spotless and everytime i caught him, he was fat from eating. he was in great shape.
