I am so sorry for your loss, I just bought my 7'' baby a few weeks ago and I am already in love. I hope you can figure out what happened :( They are so awesome.

Thanks, they are really cool. Got this one at about four inches and was the most interactive eel I've ever had.

The only dietary problem I am aware of with eels is bloodworms, Amy. I know a few guys that have had them for 8+ years on a diet of prawns and mussels with no ill effects. It seems DF was simply unlucky.

Sorry for your loss DF. :( Large eels are real pets.

Thanks. Had him for almost six years so you do get attached.

That really sucks! They become family after that long. Where in FL are you located? I am looking for a couple larger ones to add to my clan. If I locate them - I will let you know. JoJo at Ichiban has a couple 14" ones for sale. Seagrest farms are only medium size or about 9-10".

St. Pete. Don't think I'll replace him. Nice fish in the avatar, where did you catch it?
