This news is very sad to me although i have to admit i kind of saw it coming.. with a new wife and job and all your other dedicated interests theres only so much one man can do.. but i will miss you enormously ...it was always a comfort to me that i could depend on you for answers that needed alot of expertise..bon voyage to you Phil and hope life is very good to you in your new journey...but please stop back once in awhile.. i miss you already..and one more thing..thank you for all the help you gave me with my rare knife.. Liz

I wish you, Phil, the best of luck in your novel path. MFK will be poorer without you, since you were ( for better or for worse ) one of MFK's undisputable icons.

I hope to read you every once in a while and to know that your life is going well and as you planned it.

I guess that's why he's been rather scarce lately....I hope all is ok. From the looks of this, it seems only the mods here are concerned, LOL.
