I guess what I am trying to say is fish are a lot easier to keep than reptiles (except for my Snapping Turtle, he gets treated like a four-legged monster fish).

Couldn't not voice how much I disagree... reptiles are sooo much easier (obv. working in generals, there are specifics...)

I realize I posted that in the WRONG section! :)

Anyways, somebody had a thread about how we shouldn't say "in my opinion". However, in MY opinion, fish are a lot easier to take care of than reptiles. I don't mean to say fish are "better" by any means, just that there is less labor involved over a given period of time.

Anybody else agree, or am I way off base on this one?

i think he means daily stuff. Most of the days you just open the lid, dump some fish food in and your done.Lights on,lights off. Most herps other than snakes need either food chopped up and mixed, dusted anoying crickets or worms.Misting tanks, spot cleaning crap. That may be what he means.Ive always had both so only right now with my dry tank do i get a break from that side of it,lol. But snakes got them all beat i think.

I guess I was thinking of the Green Iguana I rescued a couple years ago. The thing ate two giant plates of salad a day and made the most horrific messes I've ever had the joy to deal with! Also, with fish you can automate quite a bit of it.

Snakes are great, monthly feeding must be nice.

Depend on the snake... monthly, biweekly, weekly.

Either way, basking light kill electricity really fast, even one lamp will suck it up pretty bad. However, aquariums use more electricity than a few heat lamps.

I think reptiles, with just a few exceptions, are very easy to care for. I often wonder Why a forum has to exist to discuss their care.:D

Nah I'm not trying to be a dick, it is fun getting new animals but in the long run their care matters :P At least you realised the error and decided to focus on one aspect :)
