Title bombed but whatever. I was looking for a decent nutrition forum and can't seem to find an active one through search engines. Anybody know of an active food discussion forum? Preferably not one chocked full of whiny vegans?

dont worry about nutrients and junk. just eat what you want

And die at 50? No thanks. Obesity is bullcrap. I'm still slightly overweight, but it's mostly muscle now. Nevertheless, I'd like to discuss food with others who have also chosen not to eat trash.

Thanks for the bump, by the way. :)

Not that I don't appreciate their fortitude, I just believe that things made of meat ought to eat meat sometimes. Lately I've switched out most of my carbohydrate intake with healthy fats like avocado, goat yogurt, olive oil, almond products, coconuts and coconut milk and food like that. I'm largely avoiding fruit and eating lots of leafy greens like kale and collards, spinach, canned peas, whole zucchini and such. I feel really good and have lost weight. I basically cut the fillers and am eating only nutrient-dense sources of food that also contain lots of vitamins, minerals and oils. Chicken and fish, almost no red meat aside from the occasional bit of bacon. Turkey bacon is amazing. Peanuts are out, but lactose-free cheeses are in! And a squirt of honey down the hatch before bed every night.

Sounds like you are doing it right. Less processing the better. You might be able to find some resources online if you search specifics like for a raw or vegan diet. Even if you aren't doing either of those there is still good info to pick up.

I read somewhere that most of the fat cooks off of real bacon and by the time its done its actually no worse for you than turkey bacon.
