Been 2 months and 10 days since I picked it up. Big changes in it. Now it is in its own tank and happier then ever. All continued thoughts on sp are welcome.

From when I first picked it up 9-4-15

Thanks, Yeah also added an inch or a bit better in length. I originally thought it to be rutilus but after it was brought up before as a possible Indochina I kinda started to see that. It may just be one, it has some green in it that I have only seen in pics of Indochina. Hopefully more will chime in with their opinions. May still need to wait more time. The guy I got it from got it in as an "Indian dwarf goonch" he also got a few others in that look to be different sp.

Beautiful little monster still! No matter what goonch it is :) hope that yours, gonna be a giant monster, can't wait to see that :)
To be honest, I still get confused with gooch ID :p, sorry to bother you with my question anyway, just want to learn from your pic, because your goonch looks similar to mine.
By the way, is your goonch aggresive eater (catch feeder fish, patroling for food)? or just snap the food when already closing to its mouth? And what kind of food do you give?

No problem. It will go out and hunt for food and wait for it to come to it. It eats mainly fillets and shrimp but since I have been on 48-72hr weeks I have dropped in feeders to hold it over.

Looking good. Any reason for keeping him in his own tank?

Thanks. One is to have the ability to have feeders in due to my work schedule. Another is it was eating my other fish I had with it. (Community until it could be large enough for another tank) that tank opened up and I moved it into it. The main reason it is alone is I don't have anything that would go in with it right now. Everything is either to big or too small.

Still wondering how one could tell them apart. The only one i can easily identify is suchus. The rest - only fro the pic, as a livin fish they all look the same to me :(.
