Goonch tank mates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Bruh. I like the teeth on teeth idea!

And on another not, we've been FB friends forever Aw3s0m3 Aw3s0m3 , but it JUST clicked who you are here! LMAO

Lmao I suppose I did, but with how inactive I've been on here lately, I hadn't really thought about it I guess. I just had a moment of clarity and it was like Oh!

Looks like I need new ideas. All species of pike (Esocidae) are illegal here in Cali. I'm stuck on the idea of just all teeth in this tank so if anyone else can give me ideas of larger cold water predators that can kick it with the goonches it'd be greatly appreciated

Gars are a valid option as well. L platyrhincus doesn't get too big and is very common in the hobby. Here in Florida, it's getting down to 25 tonight so they can handle the temps. Might be worth considering, even if it is less exotic than Esox.

Bruh!

I thought we had it rough in Florida! Dayum man. Hmm. This is gonna be a thinker then.

You could try Elopichthys bambusa. They're the only carp with teeth, and are appropriate if you wanted to do a biotope around the goonch.

Sell your bichers to me and look into Korean Perch and Bambusa. Both thrive in cooler temps.

I've thought about bambusa but I'm afraid they may be a little too skinny to be able to go with them. Plus those are pretty difficult to find. Last one I saw was brought in by Wes and it was only a few inches.

Shook: where you located man? If you're local you can make me an offer. I just don't have the time to ship right now.
