No Phillip, more like a truth seeker, and fact checker. Like I said, it's a very nice looking fish, but in no way shape or form compares to the years of genetic selection and line breeding that goes into the breeding of a quality FH.

And no Justin, this isn't how the FH guys started out. lol The breeders in Asia that began selective line breeding to create the first FH, spent years building their strains, just as the breeders in Florida spent years creating some of their albino strains of cichlids, or OB morphs.

There are thousands, probably 10's of thousands of people that have on purpose, or by accident, created a hybrid cross between two species of cichlids. It's not like most cichlids are difficult to breed. Get fish, add water = fry. But to selectively line breed a strain, to create something that not only produces something new and exciting, but that breeds true 99.9% of the time, can take several years and some serious know how.

And of course FH are obvious, other than the very early low grade Trimac looking specimens, FH are not easily confused with other cichlids, like this fish could be. Typically all crossing pure strains does is piss off cichlid purists. (don't let Stanzz see this) lol

Serious FH breeders and owners have little to no interest in a fish such as this. Just keeping things real, your fish is not nearly sexy enough for most FH folks, not even remotely close.

the FIRE DEVIL or RED DEMON CICHLID
Like the sounds of those names... might try and cross breed them with a Firemoth or Festae to create a even more striking looking fish.

Or the RED PHOENIX CICHLID

Well I think you are argument unlike me... my threads rarely escalate into feuds or spats or bust-ups...

My opinion is that a FH is nothing more than a polished Hybrid.... My Red DEMON is a new kid on the block and there's not two ways about it - it is a very attractive fish that deserves recognition :)
