So i got these 2 guys
My guess on the whitey/black one is a rose queen or a red texas, he gave me this guy for free because he thought he was ugly (hes deffo a boy), now because he is peeling/peeled, i near snapped his arm off for him.
(My friend/importer is a importer mainly of fancy Discus, Angels, snakeheads and Eels and is not very clued up with Flowerhorns at all)
He was sold to him in a batch of 100 as a 'golden Flowerhorn-Luohan Midas-Trimac' (thats what it said on his import list)
But it doesent look like a 'Golden Flowerhorn' from what i have seen from pictures, if anything it looks like a midas version marble convict...Marble midas!!
butttt i can see pearls under his whiteish body.
The second he was sold in a batch of 100 as a 'Red Pearl Flower Horn Carpintis-Trimac', but if anythign to me it looks like a Red Dragon x Carpintis, this guy is the nicest of the lot (out of the 200 fish he had) so i just had to have him.
He looks like a ZZ with tons of pearling and loadssss of red for a youngster, and the rest of his friends were peeling and didnt look as nice (because of the peel) so i decided to go for the one that looked the nicest for now (probably a mistake...but oh well)
I'm not looking at keeping all of my flowerhorns long term, i'm just trying to get the nicest out of them, or the nicest as a breeder etc.
Anyway...after all that rambling... this is what i got for a combine total of £5 ($7.50)
The heavily pearled red guy sold as 'Trimac-Carpintis' i think and hope he is a male, although at 2" its a bit early to tell and could be a female (i know how to sex them most of the time...thanks to you guys lol)

some of there tank mates/ possible hybrid projects with them
they are also growing out with a more jds, more parrots, ebjd, pink convicts, biffa, firemouths and non breeding project juvis growing out are Rotkeil, Red, Gold, Green Sevs, Red Jewel, Yellow Labs, Blue Dolphin.
(sounds liek a mad house but they all get on well, except they killed my 2" Oscar...they ignore eachother)
Anyway, i kinda got sidetracked there but thought i'd chuck everything in one thread
So beyond my rambling (i have had a few beers...muhahahhaa
